I have been teaching Spanish at Atlantic City High for 5
years. I began learning Spanish when I was about your age, believe it or not. When I started studying it in high school I
was immediately hooked. From then on I knew I wanted to travel and live in a Spanish speaking country. For me, learning a
different language and culture was fascinating. Nowadays, you can even say it is necessary.
I studied Spanish in Salamanca, Spain for a semester in college
(I went to Penn State, by the way.) It was the best decision I ever made! I have the best stories, memories and expereinces
from those 6 months. I can't wait to do it again. I highly recommend studying abroad and would be happy to talk to anyone
who is interested in doing it. That experience changed my life!
Outside of school I have several
interests. I love the beach, as I am sure some of you may see or have seen in the summertime! I like to run (when the weather
is nice) and take classes at my gym. If I have time I like to read (even if it is just Glamour en Español) watch t.v. (I love
reality tv) or listen to music (I literally have almost everything except hard rock in my ipod!) I absolutely love to travel. My goal is to visit every Spanish speaking
country throughout my lifetime.
My favorite thing to do is play with my dog, Lucky. He is the cutest chihuahua you'll
ever meet...but he's fierce!
